Reenactors, western Norway
A few weeks ago, I was invited to the west of Norway to visit some people and talk about my books. What a great experience it was! I mean, they had even dressed up as characters from The Tyr Trilogy! I must say I felt both very proud and very humble. Seeing the characters come to life – in real life – gives you a very special feeling.
Also, they had a bonfire right there by the fjord and the local Viking reenactment group was there showing some crafts. There was food, there was drink, and I had the time of my life.
When I got back home, I just sat in my office for a long while, lost in my work, writing for hours… Meeting readers who feel as strong about the characters as you do yourself, is immensely motivating. After meeting such dedicated readers, I often feel like it is my duty to write. And maybe it is – it often feels that way.
So this blog post is a big Thank You to all my readers. You’ve kept me motivated for all these years. You’ve asked for more books, and if I’ve been late, you have told me to hurry up. You’ve given me kind words and feedback that has made me a better writer. You’ve bought my books and made it possible for me to make a living this way. Thank you!
And now I will continue writing …
